New applicant (no previous account or password):

Step 1: Language choice (English, Spanish, Hmong, Somali)

Step 2: Enter your Social Security number

Step 3: Press 1 to apply for benefits or

Press 2 for frequently requested information.

Step 4: If 2 is pressed, the applicant hears the following menu of frequently requested information:

Press 2 for Web address, Customer Service Center Hours, and Phone Instructions

Press 3 When to Apply for Benefits

Press 4 What Information you need to Apply

Press 5 Who Qualifies

Press 6 How Benefits are Calculated

Press 7 Overview of the Application Process

Press 8 for a question about a topic not listed

Press 9 to apply for benefits now

Press 1 to repeat the menu

Press 0 to speak with a representative

Returning applicant (has an account and password):

Step 1: Language choice (English, Spanish, Hmong, Somali)

Step 2: Enter your Social Security number

Step 3: Enter Password followed by the pound (#) sign

• The applicant will hear important messages that are unique to their account. When the messages are done, applicant is prompted to:

Step 4: Press 1 to repeat the information (If the applicant is due to request payment, option 1 is to request payment. If the applicant needs to reactivate, option 1 is to reactivate.) or

Press 2 for other options.

Step 5: If the applicant presses 2, the following menu will be heard:

Press 1 to change your address, password, or other account settings

Press 2 for account balance or other account information

Press 3 for answers to commonly asked questions or to speak with a customer service representative.

Step 6: If the applicant presses 1, the following menu will be heard:

o Press 1 to change your name, address, or phone number

o Press 2 to change your PIN

o Press 3 to change how your payments are deposited

o Press 4 for appeal issues

If the applicant presses 2, the following menu will be heard:

o Press 1 for benefit payments and deductions

o Press 2 for recent decisions about your account

o Press 3 for information needed to file your income taxes

o Press 4 for a summary of base period wages

If the applicant presses 3, the following menu will be heard:

o Press 2 How Benefits are Calculated

o Press 3 Where Benefits are Deposited

o Press 4 for Appeal Information

o Press 0 to speak to a representative

oPress 1 to repeat the menu

Forgot password:

Step 1: Language choice (English, Spanish, Hmong, Somali)

Step 2: Enter your Social Security number

Step 3: The applicant will hear:

Enter your PIN or password followed by the # (pound) sign. If you’ve forgotten your PIN or password, simply press the # (pound) sign.

When the applicant presses the # (pound) sign, the following will be heard:

o Press 1 to confirm your identity

o Press 2 to have a temporary password mailed to you at the address we have on record.

o Press 3 if you wish to speak to a representative.
