Winona Workforce Center Youth Program

The Winona Workforce Center Youth Program primarily serves 16-24 years olds. Providing work experience opportunities and assistance with job seeking skills.

Things you will need before you will be able to work:

Know your schedule and when you are available

Determine your transportation—how will you get to work and back school/home

Social Security Card—can be obtain from the Social Security Office

It usually takes 10-16 days for the card to arrive

Plan Ahead

Picture Id (current school id, driver’s license, state id)

Date of Birth

Address

Direct Deposit Information –

Financial Institution and Routing Number

Your account number (savings or checking)

It’s helpful to provide s deposit authorization form.

If not a citizen – need appropriate forms to work in the United States

Other Information

Emergency Contact

Release of information with appropriate people/agencies (If younger than 18, parent/guardian signature is required)

Requirements:

Communicate with case manager about concerns, changes, job related information or issues that will affect work.

Must be willing to provide information after the program ends – employment, hours, wages, benefits.

Make sure you let your case manager know correct address and phone number

During the school year, you MUST attend school to attend work,

Follow the directions of the work site supervisor.

Immediately report any accident to your supervisor then to your case manager at the Workforce Center.
