Dislocated Worker Programs

    If you have lost your job, are about to lose your job due to a layoff or business closing, or have limited reemployment opportunities in your occupational field, you may qualify for a Dislocated Worker Program. Services may include intensive career planning and counseling, job search assistance, job training and financial assistance.

Food Stamp Employment and Training

    If you are receiving food stamps and have been referred by county human services, we can assist you in identifying career interests and skills, enrolling you in job seeking skills workshops and job clubs, and monitoring job search progress and needs. Assistance may be available for job-related expenses.

Adult Programs

    If you are 22 and older and unemployed or underemployed, 55 and older, or a women interested in non-traditional employment, you may be eligible for a specialized program. Services include assessment of skills and interests, Labor Market Information, training opportunities, on-the-job training, job search and placement assistance.

Minnesota Family Investment Program

    If you are on public assistance and have been referred by county human services, this program will help you find a job and be self-sufficient. You could receive assistance in finding work through job search, workshops, and job clubs. Support services are available for job search related expenses. This program expects, supports, and rewards work.

Services for People with Disabilities

    If you believe you have a disability, you may be eligible for specialized services to assist you in finding and keeping a job. Services include: vocational counseling, job development, job coaching, job placement, work evaluation, work adjustment training, advocate assistance and assistive technology.

Services for the Blind & Visually Impaired

    If you are blind or visually impaired, we can help facilitate the achievement of vocational and personal independence. Services include: adjustment to blindness, rehabilitation counseling, job placement, career exploration, assistive technology services, low vision services, radio talking book, books on tape, braille books, audio newspaper reading service, and other supplies.

Veteran Programs

    If you are a veteran of the United States armed services, you may be eligible for intensive job placement services. Services could include vocational and career planning, electronic access to public sector jobs, a personal representative to help you find job leads, and job training.

Youth Programs

    If you are 14 - 21, you may eligible for in-school and summer programs that connect work and learning. School-to-work learning opportunities teach youth on-the-job skills, communication skills, math skills, career study skills, citizenship skills and life-long learning skills.
