Income Support

The Unemployment Insurance (UI) Program provides a short-term, partial wage replacement to workers who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own. These benefits are paid from a dedicated Trust Fund Account which is maintained through assessments against Minnesota employers covered by the UI Program.

Individuals can apply for UI benefits on line or by phone.

Supportive Services

You may be eligible to receive direct payments and be referred to alternate resources for needs not covered or if you are not eligible for a specific need. Support services can include transportation, child care, clothing, testing fees, etc. Contact a WorkForce Center representative at (320) 654-5320 to see if you qualify.

Training Assistance

Financial assistance to pay for tuition, books, and fees for institutional training. Reimbursement for on-the-job training or payment of work training at a public or private non-profit agency. May include entrepreneurial training in the development of marketing, business, and financial plans. Contact a WorkForce Center representative at (320) 654-5320 to see if you qualify.

Earned-Income Tax Credit

Monthly reimbursement to workers eligible for tax credit. Contact a WorkForce Center representative at (320) 654-5320 for more information.
