What is WIA?    WIA stands for WorkForce Investment Act

What is WIA for? WIA is for short term training to upgrade your skills, job search assistance, and support services.

To qualify for WIA, you must:
Be 18 years of age or older
Meet income guidelines
Be seeking permanent employment
Be a resident of Bloomington, Richfield, Edina, or Eden Prairie

                                     
Generally if you are participating in the Dislocated Worker Program, you cannot be in this WIA program.  If you are nearing the end or have exhausted your unemployment benefits, you may want to inquire if you qualify for WIA.
