   Creative Job Search:                                                        
A comprehensive, but not "exhaustive" OVERVIEW of the job search process.   This course will introduce you to the general content of the Creative Job Search Guide which a job seeker can use as a self study or as a resource when attending other workshop sessions.  At the end of the session, attendees will be equipped with the skills necessary to manage their own successful job search campaign.

   Resume Building:                                                                  
Would you like to have the tools needed to created a more competitive resume or update an old resume that penetrates the "hidden job market"?  This short course features unique perspectives about resumes and resume writing. Learn how to organize skills, work history, focus on an objective, then look at design options that will best represent you and the job you are searching for.  Bring a resume to class if you have one and have it critiqued by a resume specialist.

    How Does Your Application Stack up?                        
Do you have questions about the applications that you fill out for each job opportunity?   Every job application is different and they are a critical tool in the selection process.  Bring a current job application to this class and have a job counselor preview it for you.  Or,  let us help you fill out a sample job application and critique it.  Learn about Civil Service application processes.

    Interviewing Tips and Techniques:                                 
"Why should I hire you"?  Learn how to answer some of those "tough" questions asked by employers in an employment interview.  This class will take you through a maze of potential questions that may be asked in an interview and prepare you to "expect the unexpected".  View a video about how to prepare, dress for, and follow up on a job interview.  This workshop will give you tremendous self confidence when you go to an interview.
