Hey you guys,
I am so sorry for not being on so often any more... My new semester just
started about a month ago. I have been trying to get a new job because
my schedule for school does not fit in with the schedule to be a nanny.
So I finally found a job and I actually start this week. I am going to
be a PCA (patient care assistant), it is like a CNA at a nursing home
but I go to client's houses and I help them with whatever they need. I
am super excited to start a job again, because let me tell you not
working for weeks really stinks. Especially when I was already making
hard decisions what I need compared to what I want. ha-ha! Well I heard
that there are many of you that look at my site and I am very honored to
do this for you guys. It is not all that time consuming and...OOPS - I
have to go to class, sorry. Bye talk to you soon.

hello,
hey it's me Chelsbug again. Do you know what is harder than
paying for rent, electricity and groceries? Holiday shopping!
With all the expenses I am already paying for it is hard to get
things that are not necessary. I discovered another
downfall of the holiday shopping. I had bought items on the spur
of the moment for friends but discovered later it is more than I
could spend and had to return the items. That sucks, but on the
other hand it is reality. This is so different from living at
home & having my parents help buy the things I thought I needed.
So instead of looking around for presents
that each family member would like, I bought a book with a bunch
of crafty things to do in it. However, if you are not the
crafty type, you could also wait for those great weekend sales.
(I know I do!!!) Especially during the holidays, there is always
tons of stores with sales. The store I visit the most is the
dollar store. That is a very fun store, not only is there stuff
cheap, there is also great gifts. I do not know how I would make
it through buying for all my relatives if it was not for the
dollar store. My advise to getting gifts is to maybe go
online for something cool to make or maybe make desserts and put
them in tin cans for everyone that is always a crowd pleaser.
Well I hope this helps. Have a happy
holidays.
bye

Hello,
I am writing, because I finally have a chance to. The kids are
asleep and I am caught up in all my homework. What I am really
surprised at, is that how fast these weeks are going. I cannot
believe that it is so close to thanksgiving and almost the end
of the year. College is definitely not like the movies where
they are constantly partying
because you actually end
up working twice as hard as you did high school. I know when I
was in high school; I thought I had it rough with all the
homework. Oh, and then go to work. Man life was rough!!! I know
I said this before but I really do enjoy college and my job
always keeps me going so I hardly ever have a dull moment that
is for sure. Well, I enjoy reading the comments people write and
I hope to hear from all of my viewers. Let me know what you
think I should
add or ask me any questions you have for me. I will keep coming
on and keep you all posted.
Have a great week!

Hey guys,
It is me again…I am sorry it took me so long to write
but I have been doing nothing but running around
and also was getting educated before I went to vote. Yup, it
took me hours of reading to find the right candidates
in my opinion.
Not
only did I research candidates,
I had to write a paper on how I think teen voting is crucial or
effective. I believe every vote that we can get is very
important. However, I do not understand when people do not do
the research. I also believe that if you are going to vote that
you know the reasons why
so that you are being
responsible about voting. I hope I am not being offensive to
anybody. I am just trying to help teens figure out the smart way
to vote. I know my
first thought
was…if I have to look this up, I am not going to
vote.
That
was
how I felt.
After
I did look up candidates and realized how much easier my
decision was. I know that this election is over, however please
take this into consideration next vote. Especially for
president. Thanks a lot for reading my blogs. Keep it up, it is
fun to see you guys responding and for me to write. Hope to see
you guys put blogs up soon.

October 25, 2006
hey again,
I am getting more comfortable with living by myself as the days
go by. I am meeting new people as weeks start passing by and I
am really good friends with most of my teachers. I have to be
honest, at first I thought the teachers seemed pretty
intimidating. however, some of those teachers are now the
teachers I will see when I am at a store and we will stop and
talk about class or how are weeks are going. School is also very
productive and keeps my mind off of wanting to go home. The two
kids I watch are really used to me know and know when I have to
be working on homework. I guess that everything is getting
better as the weeks progress. I also really enjoy writing to
this blog, and being able to share my experience with other
adults new to the college life...I encourage anyone reading to
write back or to put information on yourself on this page. It is
not hard at all and if anything, it is like a journal. Thanks!
have a great day.

Hi,
I am 18 years old, and I recently graduated from high school and started
college at Rochester Community and Technical College. At first, I was
really scared to live on my own and take care of my own bills, and, on
top of all that...I would have to work. I believe that is the hard thing
for me right now. I am taking four classes and I am a nanny for two
kids. I know what your are thinking, it cannot be that hard because you
can work on your homework while they are sleeping or playing. Well, let
me tell you it is not as easy as it might sound. When they are playing,
they want you to play with them; by the time I get to my homework I am
exhausted. I really like the variety of classes at RCTC because they
work around my schedule. It's not like high school in that you do not
have to sit for seven hours at school. You can take your time on getting
you credits and just take a couple of classes for each day. I somehow
always find time to do my homework, go to work and have time for myself.
Besides, the fact that I am always busy and am always in a rush. I have
met other students, that part is fun. I really like being moved out of
my parents' house. I feel more mature and grown up, and to know that I
can take care of my own financial payments is a good feeling...even
though my parents help me out a lot. hehe.
