symposium.
- Some of the topics covered included: the creation of Minnesota's
Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and some of its
best practices, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce's Grow Minnesota
survey of businesses; the new website (www.metromsp.org) targeted for
economic developers looking at sites in the Twin Cities area; Dakota
County's implementation of economic development strategic initiatives;
and the WIB's work through the Business Services Committee's efforts and
linkages to cities and local chambers of commerce.
