Dislocated Workers
What is the Dislocated Worker Program?
The Dislocated Worker Program provides employment and training services specifically for people who, due to job market demand or ever increasing qualification requirements, may have difficulty finding a job comparable to the one they had. The goal of the program is reemployment of individuals into suitable positions. Companies and individuals receiving services are not charged fees. Agencies (vendors) in each area in Minnesota are contracted by the State to deliver the following services.
Who is Eligible?
The Dislocated Worker Program is offered to people who are unemployed through no fault of their own. The candidates must have at least 12 months experience in their primary occupation in the last three years or be part of a company closing. A primary occupation is determined by the applicant's main job skills performed during this time. The 12 months need not be consecutive.
