The Anoka County Workforce Council, in cooperation with the Anoka County Board of Commissioners, is responsible for the oversight of the workforce development programs in Anoka County. The Council establishes strategies that are focused on the local workforce needs and insures that programs and agencies work together to meet the workforce development needs of the community. The overarching goal is to create a responsive workforce development system for both employers and job seekers.

The Council is instrumental in building relationships with businesses, advocating for resources on behalf of workforce development needs, and supporting new and innovative local initiatives that create viable job opportunities and economic growth for the communities in Anoka County.
